Etihad incorporates Aerobytes' Flight Data Management software

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has started using Aerobytes' Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) software to monitor its modern fleet of 57 Boeing and Airbus aircraft across its extensive worldwide route network of 66 destinations in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and Australasia.

The Aerobytes' FDM software provides the advantage of FDM Safety Management System software integration, with the unique capability to link safety information stored in different systems, allowing users to see and track all operational flight safety information much more clearly and quickly.

Captain Paolo La Cava, Etihad's Head of Safety and Quality, said: "Etihad Airways is one of the few operators worldwide to benefit from this capability. The results from Aerobytes FDM software are very reliable and accurate, and bringing FDM in-house enables us to see an integrated picture and act upon the results more immediately.

"Safety is of paramount importance at Etihad and we are confident that by choosing Aerobytes as our FDM supplier we have taken a big step to ensuring we remain safe while continuing to grow and develop our network."
