Airways chooses Aerobytes
is delighted to announce that Nordic Airways has selected Aerobytes' FDM / FOQA software.
Airways are based in Stockholm, Sweden and operate a fleet of four
MD80s on charter and schedule routes.
Training was conducted at Nordic Airways' offices in Stockholm,
Sweden in February 2007.
Torstein Faarberg, Director of Flight Operations at Nordic
Airways, said "We chose the software after a demonstration
where we were impressed by the ease of use and the fact that
everything is included. The training was excellent and we look
forward to using all the features. We particularly like the fact
that everything can be done from within the one program.

image making it easy to swap between views like the graph view,
map view, instrument view etc.
As well as FDM/FOQA software Aerobytes also provided L3-QARs
(Quick Access Recorder) kits
with EASA minor modifications to Nordic Airways. Aerobytes
understands that having powerful and easy to use software is of no
use if data recovery is slow or difficult. For this reason
Aerobytes has written special code for the L3-QAR that means the
user doesn't even have to know which aircraft the memory card
comes from to replay it. The download process is as follows:
1) Take memory card from QAR on aircraft and replace with spare
Put full card in card reader
3) Double click on desktop icon for Aerobytes-L3-QAR download software
4) Click on "Replay" button.
The software will recognise which aircraft the data came from,
copy the data into a local or network folder, erase the card and
prepare it for re-use in any aircraft. The automatics in the
Aerobytes FDM/FOQA software will detect the new flight data,
replay and analyse it and send out warnings depending upon
individual users settings.
