Above and beyond
Aerobytes has a passion for aviation which extends beyond the reach of FDM.
Aerobytes has a passion for aviation which extends beyond the reach of FDM.
Established in 1993, Aerobility brings the dream of flight within reach of over 1,000 disabled fliers each year. With five aircraft based from Blackbushe and Tatenhill, all are specially adapted to cater for a wide range of disabilities.
Aerobytes is proud to support this inspirational and life-enhancing charity.
The Avro Vulcan stands as a legendary symbol of British aerospace engineering at its finest. Among its many technical achievements, it was the world’s first successful large delta-wing aircraft — a groundbreaking design that directly influenced the development of Concorde and the Space Shuttle.
Aerobytes has proudly supported this magnificent aircraft since 2004. A true celebration of aviation engineering, the Vulcan’s raw power and unforgettable noise — known as the iconic ‘Vulcan Howl’ — have inspired millions of aviation fans across generations.
Though XH558 is now sadly grounded, you can still experience the thrill of her engines roaring to full power. To learn more about this remarkable aircraft and how you can help us ensure she remains more than just an ‘aluminium statue’ – click the link below.
This unique innovation turns heads at every airshow — because no one expects a small, propeller-driven aircraft to suddenly let rip with jet noise and launch into a vertical climb. The moment those jets fire up, every eye is fixed in the same direction.
But it’s not just the aerial spectacle that attracted Aerobytes to this remarkable set-up. It’s the story behind the jet engines, adaptability and creativity coming together and a shared ambition to inspire the next generation in aviation and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
We are proud to announce a new collaboration between Aerobytes, a leader in Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) solutions, and Jon Hunt, the UK’s most recognised General Aviation YouTuber, better known as The Flying Reporter.
Jon is a former BBC TV news presenter who qualified as a private pilot in 2013. He now combines his media talents with his love of flying by recording his aviation endeavours and sharing them with a loyal following of General Aviation fans.
“It’s great that Aerobytes are sponsoring us this year, and I really understand the importance of their FDM product having spent the last 26 years being monitored by it on the flightdeck of the Boeing 757. It delivers ever increasing flight safety and risk mitigation to the commercial Aviation sector.”

“Eddie and Emma Forrester have been private supporters of Aerobility for many years. We are delighted that they have stepped in as principal sponsors of Aerobility and as a result of that agreement we now proudly carry the Aerobytes logo on our aircraft, vehicles, website and building signage.
This financial support for us guarantees a high quality of service provision for disabled people. The underwriting of our core costs means we can concentrate on what is important, which is opening the skies to everyone.”
