Aerobytes might just completely change how you look at FDM

The software has been refined over two decades, through listening to our customer requirements, adapting to industry changes and from all our team using the system on a daily basis.

Aerobytes your way…

Depending on who will operate the software day-to-day?

Where will the system be hosted?

What does the future look like?

FDM as a Service

If you are a smaller operator with less experience of FDM then you will probably want us to host and run the system for you.  We perform the day-to-day duties which include the preparation of reports and alerting you to any serious issues we might detect (for example, a hard landing).

These are the options for the Aerobytes FDM Service

  • FDM Service (Hosted) – We host and operate the software, which is the more popular choice for a Service, however you have the option to access the system remotely.
  • FDM Service (In House) – You host the software, whilst we operate it remotely. Which is also useful for covering vacancies or periods of staff absence.

FDM as a System

If however, you are a larger or more experienced operator then it is more likely you will prefer to host and operate your own FDM System.  This solution is frequently called ‘in-house’.  Its main advantages include lower operating costs and greater flexibility.

These are the options for an Aerobytes FDM System

  • FDM System (In House) – You host and operate the software, the more popular choice for a System.
  • FDM System (Hosted) – We host the software, whilst you operate it remotely. Typically used by clients with rigid or complex IT Departments.

Flexible and Future proof

The good news is that with Aerobytes, you can move between these solutions as your airline grows or changes.

So a smaller, start-up airline can start with a small number of aircraft being supported via a Service and then migrate to an in-house System at a time to suit them in the future.

We believe this capability is unique to Aerobytes.

The software itself can be installed just about anywhere, on our cloud-server, on your servers or cloud and for smaller operators even on a single laptop.  Again, it is relatively easy to relocate the software should the need arise in future.

What is right for me?

Why people move across to Aerobytes

  • “We are expected to run an effective FDM program on a skeleton staff, this is especially stressful coming up to annual audits at peak operational times.”

  • “Our team has been reduced, but we are required to meet higher demands for safety and commercial reporting. Not just regarding FDM events, but fuel burn, engineering information and operational costs.”

  • “We find it highly time consuming to integrate disparate information streams manually, such as SMS systems, crew rota, engineering, meteorological, geographical information with our current systems.”

  • “It is too complicated and time consuming to adjust the FDM system parameters, therefore we waste a lot of time and resource filtering and validating a high number of irrelevant events.”

  • “We simply cannot get any information out of our older aircraft or helicopters. If we do we cannot validate the information or gain any meaningful data!”

  • “We feel that we are missing certain safety factors as the FDM system is only giving us the basic information”
