Eddie Forrester

Founder & CEO

Time with Aerobytes: 25 years
Before founding Aerobytes, Eddie worked in a variety of roles, from a permanent employee at BT to a self-employed laptop repairer, software contractor, musician (guitar/keyboards), and even a politician. His diverse experiences gave him unique insights into what makes organisations succeed or fail. Eddie identified that attention to detail, responsive support, honest communication, continuous product evolution, and small, focused teams are key to success. 

Personal Hobbies:
Eddie is passionate about Aviation and believes everyone should have the opportunity to fly – and to fly safely. When is not in a flightsuit Eddie is always busy and never bored, constantly staying engaged in his work and family life.

Adrian C

Team Leader, Technical Support

Time with Aerobytes: 9 years
Adrian joined Aerobytes in 2016 and recently stepped into the role of Support Team Leader. With a background in Avionics Technical Services, he previously supported Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer aircraft at British Airways, its subsidiaries, and Thomas Cook Airlines.

He holds a degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering and began his career with an Avionics Maintenance Apprenticeship at British Airways. Adrian brings deep airline-side insight into FDM, particularly in data recording and download processes.

Personal Hobbies:
Adrian enjoys hill walking with his family and playing classical guitar in his spare time.

Alan

Senior Avionics Specialist

Time with Aerobytes: 18 years
Alan began his aviation career in 1975 at age 16 with the Royal Air Force, serving 14 years as an Avionics Engineer on fast jets. After transitioning to civil aviation, he worked across UK airlines in roles ranging from managing an avionics workshop to establishing a CAA-approved FDR readout test house. He also helped set up two airline FDM departments, writing custom Airbus data-frames—some still in use today.

In 2007 Alan joined Aerobytes. His deep knowledge of avionics and flight data has made him a cornerstone of the support team, assisting countless airlines in advancing their FDM programs.

Personal Hobbies:
A lifelong aviation enthusiast,Alan once flew in an English Electric Lightning—a story he never lets Eddie forget. Now approaching retirement, he’s married with two adult children and two granddaughters, and suspects his wife has a to-do list ready.

Charles

Sales Manager

Time with Aerobytes: 17 years
Charles, alongside sales management, plays an active role in the UK CAA safety forum and independent FDM research projects. Before that, he spent 20 years in Insurance, Risk Analysis, and IT within the Lloyd’s and London markets. Charles leverages this experience to provide clients with the most suitable solution for their requirements. 

Personal Hobbies:
Charles is studying Earth Sciences with the Open University. He also trains in karate with his son and already holds black belts in both Aikido and Judo.

Adrian F

Technical Support

Time with Aerobytes: 15 years
Adrian brings a strong mix of IT technical support and 15 years of account management experience to the Aerobytes team. He began his career at the Maersk Company, supporting offshore vessels in the North Sea and Brazil, as well as RORO ships with Norfolk Line. Before joining Aerobytes, he worked in the quarrying industry.

Now, he’s right at home in a role that lets him talk about aircraft and computers every day.

Personal Hobbies:
Hiking, immersed in nature, spending time with his family

Andy

Technical Support Specialist

Time with Aerobytes: 15 years
Andy began his aviation career in 1997 with Flying Colours as a flight-cost analyst, later becoming assistant commercial accountant at JMC Airlines. In 2001, he became the first FDM analyst at Thomas Cook Airlines, where he developed a just culture FDM system across a mixed fleet in alignment with engineers and safety teams.

He joined Aerobytes in 2010, initially providing managed services before moving into technical support. Andy specialises in system use, SVDs, and event detection, supporting day-to-day operations with deep technical knowledge.

Personal Hobbies:
Outside of work, Andy enjoys football and playing golf, when not busy with family life.

Ryszard

Technical Support Specialist

Time with Aerobytes: 11 years
Ryszard joined Aerobytes in February 2015, bringing a wealth of experience from LOT Polish Airlines, where he led the FDM Team and worked as an Aviation Safety Inspector. With a strong background in Air Accident Investigation, Ryszard has published numerous technical papers. He has also built two aircraft and holds a Private Pilot’s Licence.

Tony Wride Aerobytes FDM Expert & Trainer

Tony

Pilot Consultant

Time with Aerobytes: 2 years, Aerobytes enduser 21 years
Tony’s aviation career began in 1974 with the Royal Navy, flying helicopters before becoming a fixed-wing instructor on jets like the Hunter, Hawk, and Canberra. In 1988, he transitioned to civil aviation with Monarch Airlines, flying the B757 and later commanding the A320. He also worked with Airbus to modernise pilot ground school training.

In 2002, Tony became Monarch’s Safety and Quality Accountable Manager and an early adopter of Aerobytes, contributing to feature development. He has held key roles in UK and European safety bodies, including Chair of the UK Flight Safety Committee, and was a regular speaker at Airbus safety conferences.

In 2014, he joined Etihad, flying the B777 and B787, then moved into Safety and Quality as Manager SMS Development, later returning as Manager Flight Safety Investigations.

In 2023, Tony joined Aerobytes as Pilot Consultant, focusing on training, development, and user support.

Personal Hobbies:
Sound engineering, Synthesisers and music of many genres 

Balint

Technical Support

Time with Aerobytes: 2 years
Balint holds a degree in Aerospace Technology Engineering and previously worked as a Flight Data Analyst at TUI, monitoring the full TUI Airways fleet for safety and performance insights. Now part of the Aerobytes Technical Support Team, he provides both technical support and managed services, helping clients maximise the value of their FDM systems.

With a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) and currently training for his Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Balint brings both technical knowledge and hands-on aviation experience to the role.

Personal Hobbies:
Balint enjoys the outdoors and is also a keen computer gamer. He thrives in a learning-focused environment, living by the motto: “every day is a school day.”
